Poemeet ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
Data Linked to Your Identity
We may collect the following data and link it to your identity:
- Account Info: Email (Google / Apple sign-in), nickname, age, gender
- Interest Data: Scent quiz responses used for matching
- User Content: Verses, published poems, message board posts, photos (after board is unlocked)
- Usage Data: App usage, feature interactions
- Purchases: Poemeet Pro subscription records
We do not collect location data and do not track cross-app behavior.
1. How We Use Your Data
- Matching: Calculate interest similarity from quiz results to recommend compatible co-poets.
- AI Word Suggestions: Subscribers receive AI-recommended poetic phrases based on interests and context.
- Verse Delivery: Transmitting verses and messages between matched users via the messenger system.
- Reports: Processing user reports to maintain community safety.
- Block Management: When a user blocks another, shared poem rooms are archived and no longer accessible to either party. Poemeet does not disclose block status to either user.
2. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to power the app. Your data may be processed by them:
- Supabase: Data storage and authentication
- Firebase Cloud Messaging: Push notifications (iOS / Android)
- Google Gemini API: AI word suggestions and poetic rewrites (subscribers only)
- RevenueCat: Subscription management (Poemeet Pro)
We do not sell your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Account Deletion and Data Retention
You may request account deletion at any time in the app settings. After deletion:
- Personal Data: Email, nickname, age, and interest data are permanently deleted.
- Published Poems: Co-created poems you published are retained anonymously by default; you may also choose to remove them upon deletion.
- Chat History: All poem room content, message board posts, and photos are permanently deleted.
4. Children's Privacy
Poemeet is not intended for children under 13. The matching feature requires users to be at least 18 years old. If we discover accounts that do not meet age requirements, we will deactivate them and delete the associated data.
