The Emotion Coordinate System
EmoLog's 150+ illustrations are arranged in a two-dimensional space. The two axes represent the "positive/negative" and "calm/aroused" dimensions of emotion, so you can swipe your way toward how you actually feel right now.

How to Log an Emotion
1
Swipe to explore, find the illustration that feels right
You don't need to find the "right" answer. Just pick the one that feels closest. The illustrations are abstract — there's room for your own interpretation.
2
Tap the illustration to open the log screen
After tapping, you can choose to "Log" or "Share." Choosing Log opens an editing screen where you can add a text note.
3
(Optional) Add a note and weather
You can write a few words to describe how you feel, or leave it blank. When weather is enabled, the app fetches your location and attaches the current weather automatically — it cannot be changed after saving.
4
Save — your log is complete
The record is saved locally on your device and can be reviewed on the journal screen later. Nothing is uploaded.
Sharing
When you choose to share, the app generates a share card containing:
- The emotion illustration
- Emotion name
- Date and time
- Weather info (if enabled)
- Emotion coordinates (positive/negative and calm/aroused values)
Cards can be saved to your photo library or sent via the system share sheet. Share cards are for personal, non-commercial use only.
Reviewing Past Logs
On the journal screen, you can browse all records in chronological order, or filter by emotion coordinate region to find records of specific feelings. Tap any record to view details or delete it.
