Frequently Asked Questions
Income comes from two main sources: Side Gigs (food delivery, rideshare, pilot) — each completed order pays out immediately at a per-hour rate that varies by gig type; and passive daily income from launched apps, which depends on your Reputation and days since launch. High stress (80%+) slows your work speed, and zero health triggers a hospital visit — keep your stats in check.
IndieSurvive includes a free trial period. When the trial days run out, the game pauses and shows a summary screen — you can upgrade to Pro to continue your save, or start over. Pro unlocks unlimited play, full AI features, and higher difficulty modes.
Stress rises automatically while working (~4%/game hour) and falls when you stop working or sleep (~10%/game hour). The most effective way to reduce stress is sleep — it restores energy and brings stress down quickly. Above 80% stress your work speed drops noticeably; hitting 100% triggers a meltdown event. Keep an eye on the stress bar in the HUD.
The AI Assistant can handle code, bug fixing, art, marketing, and review tasks in your projects — freeing you up to do Side Gigs or rest while it works in the background. Each assignment costs money (based on task type and project difficulty), and a higher AI level means faster completion. Note: the AI cannot handle Ops, User, or ??? type tasks.
